To mark theItaly-China Year of Culture and Tourism, Geronimo Stilton’s book “A Thousand Wonders. A Journey to Discover Italy”, has also been published in Simplified Chinese by 21st Century Publishing House.This is a special project created for theMinistry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, in collaboration with theItalian National Commission for UNESCO, by Edizioni Piemme, with the collaboration of Atlantyca Entertainment for the foreign languages, with the aim of introducing girls and boys around the world to the artistic, cultural beauties of Italy.
This new edition, officially presented by the Italian Cultural Institute in Beijing, will also make it possible for Chinese people to discover and experience Italy with an excellent guide, Geronimo Stilton. The mouse journalist most loved by children from all over the world will accompany travelers down “the Boot”, from top to toe, discovering cities, villages, stories and landscapes. From Rome to Venice, from the Apennines to the Alps, our friendly reporter will visit the most famous monuments and places, including UNESCO sites, not to mention hidden gems: lesser-known treasures, gastronomic specialties, places of scientific research, handicrafts and industrial products.
This Simplified Chinese language publication joins the recently published Bulgarian edition, and the forthcomingP ortuguese and Ukrainianeditions, as part of a broader project organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to spread our country’s image internationally. The Bulgarian edition was recently published by Colibri Publishing. The Portuguese edition will be released through Editorial Presença while Ukrainian publishers, Irbis, will also be going to print, despite the war.
These new editions join other editions of the book already availablein Italian, French, Spanish and English, released internationally in collaboration withAtlantyca Entertainment,with 17,000 copies printed exclusively for the cultural network of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs: Embassies, Consulates, Italian Cultural Institutes and Schools abroad. In addition, thanks to the success the Ministry’s project is enjoying around the world, the Italian edition of “A Thousand Wonders. A Journey to Discover Italy” will also be available in bookstores from 13th September through Edizioni Piemme.
