On the heels of recent highly anticipated prime-time premiere on Italy’s Rai Gulp, Atlantyca Entertainment has set MIPTV 2022 to showcase the ten fully completed (delivered) episodes of the new highly anticipated live-action series for kids, SNOW BLACK is a co-production with RAI RAGAZZI and the collaboration of Bedeschi Film.
SNOW BLACK (10 x 30 min, live action, target 10-14) is a sci-fi mystery, and centers around the ghost of a young vlogger, nicknamed Snow Black, who wakes up trapped inside the web, and her two friends, siblings Ella and Kennedy Davis, who investigate on the mysterious disappearances of young guys in a small and, seemingly, quite village. Snow Black is a re-adaptation of a book of the same name written by Francesca Tassini and Mario Pasqualotto for Marietti Junior.
The series marks the first live-action production for Atlantyca Entertainment, who maintains the global distribution rights, and is supported by an extensive social media and dedicated branding campaign to include Instagram (snowblack_serietv) and TikTok (snowblack_serietv).
“It has been a wonderful and collaborative journey for us to work with Rai on this incredible production and to see it come to completion,” noted Caterina Vacchi, Atlantyca’s Head of Production and Distribution Department, and Executive Producer.“ We are thrilled to show this series to international buyers, it has been an amazing experience. The mystery live action series for kids are still quite brand new and balancing the drama and the detective story was a challenging path. I’m sure that international broadcasters will appreciate it.”
“Kids drama is an essential part of our offer, both on the TV channel Rai Gulp and on our Rai Play platform. That is the first time we entered the field of mystery and we are very happy of the quality of Snow Black, based on good writing and direction, an engaging young cast and a peculiar atmosphere that makes it a truly international product. We are preparing with Atlantyca a new season to discover more about Snow Black’s mystery”, Luca Milano, Director, Rai Kids.
