Mister Moonlight
The incarnation of the clever cat, he’s all black except for three white spots, including one of his front paws (which makes it look like he’s wearing a boot) and the tip of his tail.
Born in America, he moved to the continent working on a cruise ship and for years lived as a stray in the alleys of Paris, like his old friend Dodò. But a foggy night in November, during a joyride along the Seine, Moonlight had an unfriendly face-to-face with Lascard, the most ferocious stray-catcher in Paris. After escaping, our hero was found, badly beaten, by the painter Bonnet, who took him home and helped him heal. From that day, to show his gratitude, Moonlight has lived in the painter’s house, guarding him. But a cat like Moonlight can’t stay out of trouble, and so he dedicates his free time to investigating the most intricate enigmas in the city with his friends.
Josephine
An extremely elegant Siamese cat, she’s an independent and emancipated kitty that is refined and intelligent. She can take care of herself in any situation. Herfoodmasteris a variety show actress who lives in a luxurious attic; instead of accompanying her on her travels, Josephine prefers to stay in the deserted apartment that she considers, with good reason, all her own. Josephine loves leading on the neighborhood cats, all of which are hopelessly in love with her!
Dodò the Marsellaise
He doesn’t have a name or rather, he has many different names. He’s the only Investicat who doesn’t have afoodmaster; he’s a proud stray, stick thin, clever, and a rascal. He’s not the best-looking cat, with a mangy tail that he considers part of his charm and which he shows off with pride.
Dodò is the crew member who handles the seedier parts of town; notorious bars, third-rate hotels, and shelters for homeless mice are his ambiances of choice.
Pompon
An orange striped kitten with big eyes, he is stubborn and combative with no fears. He’ll join the Investicats in the course of their first adventure and become one of them, lending the group an air of youth, enthusiasm, and fearlessness. The older Investicats seem to compete to become his mentor. Pompon lets them do it, amused since he always does whatever he wants anyway…
